Turkmenistan and International Labor Organization are strengthening cooperation

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov had a videoconference meeting with the Director-General of the International Labour Organization (ILO) Guy Ryder.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the key directions of cooperation.  The impact of the global pandemic on the socio-economic processes in the world was discussed, as well as the opportunities of cooperation on the regional and international levels.  In this regard, the actions of Turkmenistan on the national level were reviewed, including the Plan of Operational Socio-Economic measures in Turkmenistan to counteract the coronavirus pandemic.

The issues on further joining by Turkmenistan of the ILO Conventions were thoroughly discussed.
