The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan received the Ambassador of Japan

Today, on April 22, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Turkmenistan Hiroyuki Yamamoto.

At the beginning of the meeting, the diplomats exchanged congratulatory messages from the Heads of States of Turkmenistan and Japan, as well as the heads of the Foreign Ministries of the two countries on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.

The minister also said that on April 23, 2022, it is planned to broadcast a video message from the President of Turkmenistan at the Fourth Asia-Pacific Water Summit.

The diplomats stated the high level of trust-based dialogue at the top, which contributes to the expansion and strengthening of mutually beneficial partnership for the benefit of the two countries and peoples.

During the constructive conversation, the parties also noted the ongoing nature of the Turkmen-Japanese dialogue in the political-diplomatic, trade-economic and humanitarian spheres, where there is a solid potential for mutual implementation.

The potential of the Turkmen-Japanese Committee for Economic Cooperation in promoting promising bilateral projects was especially stated.

The positive experience of interaction between the two countries within the framework of authoritative regional and international structures, in particular the UN, was emphasized. In this regard, the diplomats especially noted the fruitfulness of the multilateral partnership within the framework of the “CA + Japan Dialogue”.
