Today, on the 3rd of May, a telephone conversation was held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Mukhtar Tileuberdi.
The heads of external policy agencies discussed the most pressing issues related to further strengthening of Turkmen-Kazakh relations.
During the talk, the Ministers paid special attention to the preparations of the official visit of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Turkmenistan in 2021.
In this regard, an exchange of views on the arrangements to the upcoming visit took place, including the preparations to the regular meeting of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Kazakh Commission on Economic, Scientific-Technical and Cultural Cooperation planned to take place on the eve of the visit.
The parties also touched upon the issues related to the VI Caspian Summit, planned to take place in the current year in Turkmenistan.
With the aim of discussing the issues of bilateral cooperation on a systematic basis, the parties agreed to continue regular political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of two countries.
