On July 16, 2020, a telephone conversation was held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan R.Meredov and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Ch.Aidarbekov.
During the talk, Ministers discussed a number of issues in the framework of bilateral and regional agenda. In particular, the diplomats reiterated the mutual interest of to the promotion of political-diplomatic dialogue, strengthening of trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian cooperation.
The parties reiterated the need to continue cooperation in the process of upholding sustainable development in the region, including the provision of stability and security. The importance of coordinated actions on combatting the global coronavirus pandemic was underlined.
