Cooperation between Turkmenistan and EBRD discussed

On June 23, 2020, in the building of the MFA, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan R.Meredov met with the Head of the Representative Office of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in Ashgabat F.Turkmenoglu.

During the negotiations, the parties noted with satisfaction the development of long-term and effective cooperation between Turkmenistan and the EBRD in all areas of mutually beneficial partnership. Within the framework of the meeting, an exchange of views took place regarding implemented and ongoing projects with the participation of this international financial institution in the field of energy and transport, private sector support and others. The parties also emphasized the importance of a constructive partnership within the framework of the EBRD Country Strategy for Turkmenistan for the period 2019-2024.

On the agenda of the meeting, the parties also discussed issues of further development of cooperation in priority areas of bilateral cooperation, including strengthening the material and technical base to support small and medium-sized businesses, as well as conducting business consultations with the participation of the private sector of our country.
