Today,on February 21, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov had a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China Qian Naicheng.
During the meeting, the head of the foreign policy agency of Turkmenistan presented a letter of the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov addressed to the President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping.
In the letter addressed to the President of the People’s Republic of China, the Head of the Turkmen state expressed his words of gratitude for the hospitality extended to the delegation of Turkmenistan during recent visit to Beijing, as well as for personal attention paid to strengthening Turkmen-Chinese relations.
“Let me sincerely congratulate You and, in Your person, all the people of China on the successful holding of the XXIV Winter Olympic Games. Beijing, having presented the world with an unforgettable sporting spectacle, became the first city in history to host the Summer and Winter Olympics.
I recall with a special feeling of warmth my recent visit to great China, where I took part in the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympic Games,” the message says.
