Today, the opening ceremony of the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries was held in the “Avaza” national tourism zone. Heads of states participating in the forum, government leaders, representatives of reputable international and regional organizations, members of high-level delegations, as well as representatives of mass media attended the event. The “Atawatan Media” group also took part in the forum.
At the “Avaza” sports complex, the third conference of the United Nations on Landlocked Developing Countries and numerous related events are being held.
Within the framework of these events, a signing ceremony was held for several documents between Turkmenistan, the participating states of the forum, and international organizations.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan and Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov and Burkina Faso’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Cooperation and Affairs of Burkinabe Living Abroad Karamoko Jean Marie Traore signed a Memorandum of Understanding on political consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the corresponding ministry of Burkina Faso.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan and Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Kingdom of Eswatini Pholile Shakantu signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the establishment of diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and the Kingdom of Eswatini.

Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of Turkmenistan Muhammetseýit Sylapow and the Permanent Representative of the United Nations Development Programme in Turkmenistan Narine Saakyan signed the 2025 Work Plan for the project “Enhancing the Sustainability of Local Communities to Prevent Violent Extremism in Central Asia.”

Head of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan Maksat Hudaýkulyýew and the Secretary-General of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) Rebecca Grynspan signed the Project Document on technical assistance for “Developing Regional Connectivity and Creating ‘Smart’ Customs through Digital Transformation” between the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan and UNCTAD.

Minister of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan Mämmetguly Astanagulow and Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to Turkmenistan Viktor Boretskiy signed an Agreement on Economic Cooperation between the Government of Turkmenistan and the Government of the Slovak Republic.
