Turkmenistan and Türkiye aim to expand interregional cooperation

On September 2, 2025, a meeting was held between the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Türkiye M.Ishangulyyev and the Governor of the Erzurum Province of the Republic of Türkiye Mehmet Sekmen.

During the meeting, the parties discussed priority areas of interregional cooperation, including agricultural, industrial, cultural, humanitarian and tourism spheres. Particular attention was paid to enhancing interregional business ties in the field of animal husbandry.

Also, issues of establishing sustainable contacts between business structures of the two countries, as well as prospects for participation in joint investment projects were discussed. Proposals were put forward to expand cooperation in promising areas identified on the basis of the competitive advantages of the economies of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Türkiye.

In addition, Turkmen diplomats took part in the international Erzurum exhibition of agriculture and livestock.

Erzurum International Fair is the largest in Türkiye and one of the leading in Europe, making it the premier event for networking, knowledge sharing and exploring the latest innovations in agriculture and livestock.
