Turkmenistan Airlines launches a direct Ashgabat-Incheon-Ashgabat flight

Today, on April 26, after successful completion of the inaugural “Ashgabat-Incheon-Ashgabat” flights, Turkmenistan Airlines A330-200 cargo plane landed at the Ashgabat International Airport.

Turkmenistan considers further development of multifaceted relations with the Republic of Korea, as well as strengthening effective cooperation with the countries of the Asia-Pacific region as one of the top priorities in its foreign policy. The establishing of a new international air cargo service will greatly stimulate the expansion of the bilateral trade and economic cooperation between the countries.

With launching a direct cargo flight between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Korea, Turkmenistan Airlines also plans to expand its flight operations to the Asian and European countries.

Located at the intersection of air, railway and highway corridors, connecting Asia with Europe and also due to its convenient geographical location, the Ashgabat International Airport is considered as an important transit hub, connecting major cities of Asia and Europe.
