Turkmen producers showcase their products at the SIAL Paris international food exhibition

From 17 to 21 October 2026, private companies from Turkmenistan took part in SIAL Paris, an international food trade show. Their participation was organised by the International Trade Centre (ITC) under the European Union-funded project “Turkmenistan: Enhancing Trade Resilience and Integration”.

Turkmen companies Miwe and Asly Turkmen, as well as the Erem, Miwada and GurFood brands, showcased a range of food products, including dried and freeze-dried fruit, raisins, almonds, as well as sweets and bars made from dried fruit. Participation in the exhibition provided an opportunity to introduce Turkmen products to an international audience, establish contacts with potential buyers and assess prospects for entering new markets.

For Turkmen producers, this was their first experience at a food exhibition of this scale. SIAL Paris brings together producers, importers, distributors and retailers from around the world. The exhibition enabled participants to learn from international peers and explore current packaging trends, certification requirements and approaches to promoting products in international markets.

“Participating in SIAL Paris 2026 was a valuable opportunity for our company to showcase the taste and quality of products from Turkmenistan. At our stand, we presented local almonds as well as freeze-dried products under the Erem brand. Our products attracted strong interest from buyers from different countries due to their high quality and competitive prices. The meetings held during the exhibition open up good prospects for developing partnerships and entering new markets.”

Participation in SIAL Paris was a continuation of ITC’s ongoing work to support Turkmen enterprises in the agri-food sector, strengthen their competitiveness and develop their export potential.
