Turkmen fighter wins fight at WWFC 24 international mixed martial arts tournament in Kyiv

On March 29, 2025, Kyiv hosted the World Warriors Fighting Championship 24 (WWFC 24) international mixed martial arts tournament as part of the new season of the WWFC League. MMA fighters from Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Azerbaijan and Moldova met in the octagon. The match was broadcast live by Kyivstar TV.

Turkmenistan native Babageldi Halymov, competing in the 83.9 kg weight class, won a decisive victory in a tense and uncompromising fight with Ukrainian athlete Yakov Anufriyev. Babageldi defeated his opponent ahead of schedule in the first round by painful knockout.

Babageldi Halymov is a native of Gengeshlik Galkynysh, Hodjambaz district, Lebap velayat, Turkmenistan and a graduate of the National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute”. The technical and resilient fighter successfully competes in MMA tournaments and fights and jiu-jitsu championships.

The day before, on March 1, he won an early victory over his opponent Yevgen Drobot in a fight at the international professional mixed martial arts tournament “FCFC Fight Night 7”, which was held in Kyiv.

Representing our country in the international sports tournament, Babageldi Khalymov traditionally raised the national flag of Turkmenistan in the national telpek.
