The Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan had previously announced a list of international organizations whose university rankings would be considered for recognizing foreign diplomas in the country. Among the recognized global ranking organizations are:
- “Academic Ranking of World Universities”
- “QS World University Rankings”
- “Три миссии университета” (Three Missions of the University)
- “The Times Higher Education World University Rankings”
