Meeting of the Working group on Trade-economic cooperation between Turkmenistan and the United States of America

On March 27, 2026, a meeting of the Working group on Trade and economic cooperation between Turkmenistan and the United States of America was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and prospects for the development of bilateral trade and economic cooperation between Turkmenistan and the United States.

The participants emphasized the importance of maintaining a regular and substantive dialogue at various levels, noting the high effectiveness of existing cooperation mechanisms that contribute to strengthening the partnership between the two countries. In particular, the effectiveness of the Turkmenistan–U.S. Business Council, including its annual meetings, was highlighted.

Further discussions focused on expanding investment cooperation as well as the implementation of joint projects with the participation of American companies. It was noted that positive results achieved over the past year in this area demonstrate the steady development of bilateral partnership and the expansion of practical cooperation.

The parties stated that the bilateral economic agenda holds significant potential, the realization of which will allow cooperation to reach a qualitatively new level. In this regard, the importance of coordinating joint efforts aimed at ensuring sustainable economic growth and diversifying mutual trade turnover between the two countries was underscored.
