The Turkmen carpet art and national costumes were solemnly presented at the World Exhibition EXPO-2025

On 1 September 2025, as part of the EXPO-2025 World Exhibition held in Osaka, Japan, a festive event dedicated to the 34th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s independence took place at the National Pavilion of Turkmenistan.

The event aimed to showcase the rich cultural heritage of the Turkmen people their exquisite carpet art and traditional national costumes to the world community. Special attention was given to the achievements of Turkmenistan’s textile industry.

Exhibition guests were introduced to the beauty of Turkmen carpets, the symbolism behind national patterns, and the current state of textile production. During the event, speeches highlighted Turkmenistan’s accomplishments in the textile industry and carpet weaving.

One of the event’s highlights was the presentation of Turkmen national costumes. Contemporary designs in traditional style, created by the Fashion House of the Ministry of Textile Industry of Turkmenistan, sparked great interest among attendees.

The program also featured a master class on Turkmen carpet art, where guests learned about the intricacies of weaving, the meanings of patterns, and the rich traditions of carpet making.

The celebration made a valuable contribution to fostering international cultural cooperation and promoting global recognition of the Turkmen people’s spiritual and cultural legacy.
