The synchronisation of the development of the Baku and Turkmenbashi ports has been discussed

Rovshan Rustamov, Chairman of “Azerbaijan Railways” CJSC (ADY), a company within AZCON Holding, paid a visit to the Turkmenbashi International Seaport in the framework of his official visit to Turkmenistan.

Director of the port, Parahat Jumayev, provided the ADY delegation with comprehensive information on the Turkmenbashi Port’s existing infrastructure, technical capabilities, and transit potential.

The parties also discussed the role of the Turkmenbashi International Seaport in advancing regional freight transportation, the synchronization of development efforts between the Baku International Sea Trade Port and the Turkmenbashi Port, as well as ongoing seabed dredging operations.

It was emphasised that expanding the Caspian Sea–Black Sea connectivity would contribute to increasing cargo volumes and enhancing operational efficiency along the Middle Corridor.

The importance of coordinated action between the ports along the Eurasian Transport Route was highlighted as essential for ensuring efficient, swift, and secure freight transportation via the Middle Corridor.
