The National Leader of Turkmen People Meets with the President of Kazakhstan

The National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, met with the President of Kazakhstan, Kasym-Jomart Tokayev, during his working visit to Kazakhstan. This meeting was reported by the Kazakh Presidential Press Service.

Tokayev expressed his gratitude to the National Leader of Turkmenistan for attending the opening ceremony of the 5th World Nomad Games. The President of Kazakhstan emphasized the importance of Berdimuhamedov’s visit to Astana in strengthening relations between the two countries, stating that the relations between Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan have reached the level of a strategic partnership.

During the meeting, previous agreements in areas such as trade, economy, energy, transportation, and logistics were reviewed. Additionally, emphasis was placed on strengthening cultural ties between the two countries.

Finally, preparations for the Kazakh President’s upcoming visit to Turkmenistan in October were discussed.
