The Meeting of the Turkmen-Korean Business Council was Held

Today, on April 17, 2020, a meeting was held in Ashgabat as part of the Turkmen-Korean Business Council in the form of a video conference.

The meeting was attended by the representatives of relevant ministries and departments of the country, including the Ministries of Textile Industry,   the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the State Committee for Water Resources of Turkmenistan, the State Concern Turkmengaz, the agencies Turkmendenizderiyayollary and Turkmendemiryollary.

The Korean delegation was represented by representatives from the Ministry of Commerce of South Korea and the Executive Director of the Korean International Trade Association (KITA).

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of further strengthening multilateral and reliable trade and economic cooperation between the two countries, implemented on the principles of trust and mutual respect. The meeting addressed separately issues of cooperation in the construction of large gas-chemical complexes and plants for desalination of sea water, cooperation in the field of shipbuilding and marine equipment, as well as the creation of a center for access to information and the holding of seminars for railway specialists, the exchange of knowledge and best practices and other pressing topics of mutual interest.

Within the framework of the video meeting, an exchange of views on pressing issues of the international agenda also took place.
