The delegation of Turkmenistan took part in the session of the International Labor Conference

On June 7, 2022, the delegation of Turkmenistan headed by the Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of Turkmenistan M. Sylapov took part by videoconferencing in the 110th session of the International Labor Conference.

In his speech, the head of the delegation of Turkmenistan informed the participants of the session about the ongoing work in the country to ensure decent work and socio-economic development. An important role in this process is given to activities to implement the Framework Program for Cooperation in the field of Sustainable Development between the Government of Turkmenistan and the UN, as well as the Plan of Cooperation with International organizations until 2023, providing for the participation of the International Labor Organization in key strategic areas of cooperation.

It was also reported on the adoption in Turkmenistan of the National Program for the socio-economic development of the country until 2052, which outlines the tasks of each of the areas of development for the next 30 years.

In this context, taking into account the above state programs and plans in the field of labor, employment and social protection of the population, Turkmenistan has good prospects to join the governing and other ILO conventions.
