The Embassy of Turkmenistan Participated in Asian Culture Festival in Ploiesti

On July 9, 2025, the Asian Culture Festival took place at the Palace of Culture in the city of Ploiești. The event was organized by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Romania in cooperation with the Embassies of Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Japan, the Republic of Korea, and the Philippines, with the support of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Prahova County.

Among the honored guests were representatives of local authorities, heads of diplomatic missions, public figures, residents of Prahova, and media representatives. The opening ceremony featured speeches by the organizers and Mr. Aurelian Gogulescu, President of the Prahova Chamber of Commerce and Industry, who emphasized the importance of cultural dialogue and international cooperation.

The program included a presentation of traditional costumes from Asian countries. Turkmenistan attracted special attention with its elegant collection of national outfits, combining traditional patterns with modern design elements.

 

During the event, ambassadors held a meeting with the local administration of Prahova, where they discussed the current state and prospects of bilateral relations and emphasized the importance of strengthening regional cooperation.

The musical program included performances of traditional compositions. The Turkmen side performed folk melodies that reflected the rhythm and spirit of the Turkmen people.

A central part of the festival was the cultural exhibition. Turkmenistan’s stand featured national costumes, handcrafted items, carpets, musical instruments, and publications by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and National Leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, as well as works by Magtymguly Fragi in various languages, including Romanian.

Embassy staff introduced guests to the rich history, culture, and traditions of Turkmenistan, sharing insights into the country’s centuries-old heritage and modern achievements.

The festival concluded with a tasting of national cuisines. Turkmen traditional dishes sparked great interest among visitors.

The event served as a vivid example of cultural exchange and friendship among nations.
