On January 19, 2026, a meeting was held via videoconference between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and the Federal Minister for European and International Affairs of Austria Beate Meinl-Reisinger.
During the meeting, the parties discussed a wide range of issues related to bilateral relations in the political-diplomatic, trade-economic, and cultural- humanitarian spheres.
The parties highly valued the cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Austria within multilateral structures, including the UN, EU, and OSCE.
In addition, an exchange of views took place on international issues of mutual interest.
