Significance of the Dialogue of Women of the countries of Central Asia and Russia

As was already noted, the first Dialogue of Women of the Central Asian States and Russia continues its work in Ashgabat. During the meeting, the importance of the Dialogue of Women of the States of Central Asia and Russia was noted, and the achievements of the states in strengthening regional and international cooperation in order to ensure peace, stability and sustainable development were also emphasized.

At the meeting, the participants reaffirmed their commitment to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, the Decade of Action to Achieve the Global Goals, the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action, and other international acts developed and adopted under the auspices of the UN.

The importance of developing mutually beneficial and long-term relations between the states of Central Asia and the Russian Federation in various areas of cooperation was noted.

Special attention was also paid to the fact that women, through their active work and new ideas, make a great contribution to the fight against such global threats as the negative effects of climate change, environmental degradation, as well as addressing issues of socio-economic, cultural and humanitarian development, health and education.

Readiness was declared to contribute to the implementation of policies in the field of improving the status of women in the states of Central Asia and in the Russian Federation, and this area was noted as a priority for cooperation within the framework of the Dialogue.
