Prospects for the development of Turkmen-Kazakh cooperation were considered

Today, on February 12, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Roman Sklyar, who arrived in the Turkmen capital on a working visit.

During a constructive conversation, the parties considered a wide range of issues of mutually beneficial cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Kazakhstan in all areas of mutual interest. The regular nature of the meetings of the Heads of the two states, which contribute to the strengthening and development of the traditional ties of friendship between the two peoples, was noted.

During the visit, the First Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan R.Sklyar also met with the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan S. Berdimuhamedov.

The parties discussed priority issues of the development of Turkmen-Kazakh cooperation in the political, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres.

A constructive exchange of views took place using the solid potential of the two countries on the issues of expanding partnership, including in the transport-transit, trade-economic, agricultural and environmental sectors.

During the conversation, special emphasis was placed on the development of cooperation in the fuel and energy sector, in the field of industry, in particular, the expansion of international and regional automobile, rail and sea transportation with the active involvement of the public and private sectors of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Kazakhstan.

This topic was also continued during the talks of R.Sklyar with the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Sh.Abdrakhmanov, with the heads of relevant ministries and departments of the country, including the hyakim of the Mary velayat.

During the meetings, the parties emphasized the positive dynamics in the development of bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan in all promising areas.

In addition, the parties noted the need to further expand the legal base of bilateral cooperation, including holding meetings of relevant departments of the two countries.
