President Serdar Berdimuhamedov participated in the “Central Asia – USA” format summit

As we have previously reported, esteemed President Serdar Berdimuhamedov was on a working visit to the United States of America to participate in the “Central Asia – USA” format summit.

The esteemed President participated in the “Central Asia – USA” format summit at the White House in the capital of the United States of America, Washington D.C., with the participation of the President of the United States of America, Donald Trump.

Also arriving in Washington D.C. for the summit were President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.

On the 10th anniversary of the “C5+1” format, which was established in 2015, U.S. President Donald Trump hosted the Central Asian heads of state at the White House in Washington for the first time.

The meeting addressed cooperation relations between the United States and the Central Asian countries in various fields.

In particular, the goal was set to strengthen cooperation in areas such as mineral exploration and extraction, energy, and other directions.

U.S. President Donald Trump announced that the Central Asian countries intend to purchase 40 different aircraft from the major American company “Boeing”.

The meeting also underscored the presence of untapped opportunities and resources to strengthen and expand trade and economic relations and mutually beneficial investments between the states, including in areas such as energy, agriculture, transport, science and technology, artificial intelligence, and modern technologies.

As one of the important areas of dialogue, issues of combating modern threats and challenges to the global community, such as terrorism and extremism, as well as illicit drug trafficking, were discussed.

A productive exchange of views also took place on other regional and global issues.
