Online meeting with Turkmenistan and Tatarstan

Video negotiations took place between the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation Albert Karimov.

As known, Turkmenistan attaches great importance to effective interaction with the constituent entities of the Russian Federation within the framework of the comprehensive development of strategic Turkmen-Russian cooperation.

During the constructive conversation, the parties noted the dynamic growth of interaction between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation, where the parties have great potential for further implementation.

For many years Turkmenistan has been actively cooperating with such leading companies of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation as PJSC KAMAZ, PJSC Tatneft, LLC KER-Holding, PJSC Kazan Helicopter Plant, Ak Bars Shipbuilding Corporation JSC and with other business structures of the region.

Within the framework of reliable and trusting interaction with the advanced state and business structures of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation, our country has established close ties in such priority areas as the oil and gas industry, mechanical engineering, shipbuilding, motor vehicles, service maintenance, construction and overhaul of large industrial facilities for various purposes and others.

The interlocutors expressed satisfaction, including the development of relationships in the medical industry. Taking into account the current realities associated with the spread of coronavirus infection on a global scale, cooperation in this area is becoming especially relevant. Establishing close ties between specialized scientists, specialists and doctors of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation will make it possible to fully use the mechanisms of scientific diplomacy, as well as comprehensively intensify the process of consolidating the efforts of the parties in countering the pandemic.

The parties also agreed to continue to expand and strengthen effective and mutually beneficial partnership in all priority areas of mutual interest.
