On March 30 this year, the Chinese city of Tunxi hosted a meeting between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran Hossein Amir Abdollahian, during which a wide range of issues of further strengthening bilateral cooperation was discussed.
The parties exchanged views on the current state of trade and economic relations between the two states and the prospects for their development.
In particular, the possibilities of increasing bilateral trade turnover, cooperation in the energy sector, and intensifying partnerships in the field of transport were considered.
The heads of the foreign ministries also discussed certain regional and international topics of mutual interest.
