The National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, held a meeting with Sergio Gore, the Special Envoy of the President of the United States for South and Central Asia. This was reported by TDH.

Expressing gratitude for the opportunity to meet, the American diplomat noted the consistent development of cooperation between the US and Turkmenistan. He expressed confidence that the meeting with the President of Turkmenistan would provide additional impetus to the partnership. Sergio Gore also emphasized that the architectural style of Turkmenistan’s white-marble capital made a pleasant impression on him.

Thanking him for the kind words, National Leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that Turkmenistan attaches great importance to developing mutually beneficial relations with the US in various fields. As highlighted during the meeting, the United States is one of Turkmenistan’s key strategic partners. Traditionally friendly relations between the two countries have been developing steadily in recent years based on principles of mutual respect and understanding.

In this regard, the significance of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov’s visit to Washington last November to participate in the “Central Asia – United States” summit was noted. During the meeting, both parties expressed satisfaction with the successful development of relations covering political, diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian spheres.
