Ambassador of Turkmenistan Meets with U.S.-Turkmenistan Business Council Representatives

On May 19, 2026, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the United States Esen Aydogdyyev had a meeting in Washington, D.C. with Mr. Eric Stewart, Executive Director of the U.S.-Turkmenistan Business Council, and representatives of the Council’s member companies.

During the meeting, the Ambassador presented Turkmenistan’s economic priorities in the context of the 35th anniversary of the country’s independence and the motto of 2026 — “Independent, Permanently Neutral Turkmenistan – Homeland of Purposeful Heavenly Horses.” The sides exchanged views on expanding trade, investment, transport, agriculture, energy, industry, and private sector cooperation.

The participants noted the important role of the U.S.-Turkmenistan Business Council in strengthening direct business dialogue between the two countries and discussed preparations for the upcoming visit of the US business delegation to Turkmenistan.
