On June 8, 2025, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov had a meeting with the Executive Director of the “Turkmenistan-USA” Business Council Eric Stewart.
During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the current state and prospects of cooperation between Turkmenistan and US companies.
Trade and economic vector, fuel and energy sector, transport and communications, industry, agriculture, high technologies and others were named among the relevant areas of bilateral cooperation. At the same time, the interlocutors considered the possibilities of intensifying contacts in such important areas as cybersecurity, green technologies and education. Special emphasis was placed on the activities of the Turkmenistan-U.S. Business Council and its role in strengthening interstate relations.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs expressed the commitment of the Government of Turkmenistan to expanding trade and economic cooperation with business organizations of the United States. At the same time, the sides noted the long-term positive contribution of American companies to the development of various spheres of the Turkmen economy.
The meeting participants expressed mutual interest in the successful development of partnership.
