A charity event was held at Türkmenbaşy Ruhy Mosque with the participation of the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty (People’s Council) of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, in honor of the 33rd anniversary of Turkmenistan’s sacred independence and the successful convening of the Halk Maslahaty.
As is known, during the national forum held on September 24th, our Hero Arkadag (Leader) proposed to the assembly participants the idea of holding a charity event at Türkmenbaşy Ruhy Mosque in line with the traditions of our ancestors, and this proposal was unanimously accepted. The Mufti of Turkmenistan recited prayers in memory of the past generations and the first President of Turkmenistan, Saparmurat Niyazov. The National Leader of the Turkmen People continued his speech by emphasizing that the charity event was held in remembrance of the past and the late first President of Turkmenistan, Great Saparmurat Türkmenbaşy. He recalled the sacred traditions of the people, stating, “He who respects the deceased gains greatness” and noted that today the ancient traditions of the Turkmen people were being upheld.
