Published with the sponsorship of the Makul Hyzmat Translation Center, this book presents a comprehensive collection of English and Turkmen proverbs. It includes English proverbs with their explanations in Turkmen, as well as Turkmen proverbs with their English equivalents, clearly demonstrating the linguistic and cultural connections between the two peoples.

Proverbs reflect the history, life experience, and values of every nation. During the preparation of the book, it was revealed that many English and Turkmen proverbs are similar in meaning and, in some cases, express the same universal ideas. This highlights the shared values across different cultures.

“Makul English & Turkmen Proverbs” serves as a valuable resource not only for language learners, but also for translators, students, and readers interested in international communication.

This publication is an important part of the “Makul Language Series” and, together with previously published books –
Makul English–Turkmen Dictionary

and Makul Language Handbook – forms a comprehensive educational platform.

It is also worth noting that these books have been included in the catalogs of prestigious libraries such as Library of Congress, New York Public Library, Harvard University, and Stanford University, and have been indexed by Google Books.
