Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has arrived in Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan, to hold talks with the country’s officials.
Araghchi arrived in Ashgabat on Monday, at the head of a delegation comprising diplomatic, economic and parliamentary officials, and was welcomed by Turkmen officials.
Bilateral relations, regional and international developments, and avenues to bolster political and economic cooperation between Iran and Turkmenistan are among the main topics of discussions during his one-day visit.
Relations between Tehran and Ashgabat have continued to expand over the years, with both sides emphasizing the need to make use of existing capacities to further develop bilateral ties.
