Videoconference on the Development of Cooperation in the area of Transportation and Customs Control

A  videoconference with the representatives of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) and the International Road Transport Union (IRU) was held.

The representatives of relevant ministries and departments of Turkmenistan, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, State Customs Service and the State Agency “Turkmenawtoulaglary” (Turkmen road transport) participated to the session.

During the videoconference, the parties discussed the current state and perspectives of cooperation of Turkmenistan with the IRU and the UNCTAD in the field of road transport and customs control, as well as considered the issues pertaining to the Automated System for Customs Data (ASYCUDA) applied in our country.

Besides, the participants of the online dialogue discussed the issues related to the system of pre-declaration of international cargo TIR-EPD and preliminary introduction of electronic documents for the registration of road transport, freights entering our country and transiting its territory.
