US Special Representative meets with Turkmenistan’s Foreign Minister

Sergio Gor, the U.S. Special Representative for Southern and Central Asian Affairs, met with Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov during his visit to Turkmenistan. This was reported by the U.S. Embassy in Turkmenistan.

The two parties exchanged views on regional stability and the prospects for developing economic cooperation. It was noted that the United States highly values the level of bilateral diplomatic engagement.

Additionally, the U.S. Ambassador to Turkmenistan, Elizabeth Rood, hosted an official reception in Ashgabat featuring Special Representative Sergio Gor. The event was attended by representatives from both American and Turkmen business circles.

“We are committed to strengthening economic ties in areas that promote increased security and prosperity for both Turkmenistan and the United States of America,” reported by a statement from the U.S. Embassy press service in Ashgabat.
