Turkmenistan was introduced at the University of California

This year, just like before, we participated with a Turkmenistan booth at the International Culture Day event, which is becoming a tradition of the ALSA Association operating within the UC Davis School of Law at the University of California.

The International Culture Day, held on April 16, 2025, brought together international students studying at UC Davis School of Law, who took part with booths introducing their home countries and serving national dishes.

As you may recall, on April 19 of last year, Dr. Dowran Orazgylyjow, a Turkmen Doctor of Law, was elected as President of this organization for one term during the ALSA presidential elections.

At this year’s event, organized by the new ALSA administration, traditional Turkmen pişme was offered to the guests. Our booth, which showcased our national values, attracted great interest from many visitors. A book by our great poet Magtymguly Pyragy also held its rightful place at the Turkmenistan booth.

In addition to Turkmenistan, booths from Uzbekistan, Türkiye, Saudi Arabia, China, Brazil, and several other countries were also featured at the event.
