A meeting was held in Arkadag city between the Vice President for therapeutic activities of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship O.Atabayeva and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) Representative in Turkmenistan Jalpa Ratna.
During the meeting, the sides noted with satisfaction the constructive nature of Turkmenistan’s long-standing cooperation with UNICEF, which is reflected in numerous projects and initiatives aimed at protecting and strengthening the health of children, defending their rights and ensuring their full development.
O.Atabayeva described the activities of the Charitable Foundation and its future initiatives, as well as the results of the work, including hundreds of surgeries and medical services provided to children at the expense of the Foundation.
The sides discussed the possibilities of establishing direct cooperation between the Charitable Foundation and UNICEF in providing necessary assistance to children. The sides exchanged views on cooperation in the field of healthcare and inclusive education.
In addition, the sides discussed preparations for the upcoming Conference to be held in honor of the four-year anniversary of the establishment of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship.
