Turkmenistan schoolchildren head to the “Robotics Olympics” in Panama

Turkmenistan will be represented by a team of schoolchildren at the prestigious international robotics competition, “First Global Challenge 2025,” in the Republic of Panama. The competition, often referred to as the “Robotics Olympics,” will take place from October 29 to November 1 and will bring together youth from 190 countries.

Our country will be represented by the team “Oguzrobot,” formed from students of Ashgabat’s specialized secondary school No. 97 with an in-depth study of languages. Its members are Charyyew Ysmayyl, Gylychmuhammedow Emirhan, Cholukow Aznawur, Gulow Shirmuhammet, and Orazgeldiyew Gurbangeldi. The team is led by experienced teacher Myrat Sahetgulyyew.

Over the last few months, the team has been intensively preparing for the tournament at the “Kämil bilim” educational center. The talented descendants of Oguz Han successfully developed the robot’s design, wrote the software, and conducted comprehensive testing.

“The level of the schoolchildren’s preparation is high. We are hoping for good results. This competition is an excellent opportunity for our youth to gain international experience and enhance their creative and engineering skills,” noted Myrat Sahetgulyyew.

The “First Global Challenge” is an international robotics competition organized in the style of the Olympic Games. This year’s theme is dedicated to the equilibrium of the ecosystem and is aimed at presenting youth solutions for environmental protection.
