An online meeting was held with the President of the International Tennis Federation, a member of the International Olympic Committee, David Haggerty.
From the Turkmen side, representatives of the National Olympic Committee, the Tennis Federation of Turkmenistan, the Ministries of Sports and Youth Policy, as well as foreign affairs of Turkmenistan took part in the meeting.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the issues of stage meetings of the Davis Cup International Tennis Tournament, which is planned to be held in Ashgabat. The issues of David Haggerty’s visit to Turkmenistan within the framework of the Davis Cup were discussed.
In addition, in order to popularize tennis among the population, train professional tennis players in the country, the parties discussed the preparation and implementation of the Work Plan for the development of cooperation between the International Tennis Federation, the National Olympic Committee and the Tennis Federation of Turkmenistan.
