On May 5, 2026, the second International Migration Review Forum (IMRF) commenced at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. A high-level delegation from our country, led by the Chairman of the State Migration Service of Turkmenistan, Mr. A. Sazakov, is participating in this global summit.
The current forum, held under the auspices of the President of the UN General Assembly, is dedicated to a comprehensive assessment of the implementation of the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration. This event unites the efforts of the international community to discuss migration as a significant factor in global economic development and social progress.
The participation of the delegation of Turkmenistan in such a high-level forum serves as another clear demonstration of our country’s commitment to the principles of positive neutrality and humanism.
The Forum will continue its work until May 8.
