Turkmenistan and Malaysia’s Bitdeer Conclude Tripartite Agreement at CIET 2026

On the sidelines of the International Conference and Exhibition “Construction, Industry, Chemical, and Energy Capacities of Turkmenistan” (CIET 2026), a tripartite international cooperation document was signed.

The Memorandum of Understanding with the Malaysian company Bitdeer Supply Chain SDN. BHD. was concluded with the participation of the heads of three key ministries of Turkmenistan:

  • Ministry of Finance and Economy (represented by Minister M. Astangulow);
  • Ministry of Energy (represented by Minister A. Saparow);
  • Ministry of Communication (represented by Minister H. Hudaygulyýew).

On behalf of the foreign partner, the document was signed by the company’s Business Development Director, Sharif Allayarov.

Bitdeer Supply Chain SDN. BHD. is a subsidiary and specialized regional unit of the major international group Bitdeer Technologies Group. This major technological facility was opened in Penang, Malaysia, in October 2025.

At present, specific details and objectives of the new memorandum have not been disclosed. However, it is worth recalling that in May this year in Ashgabat, representatives of Bitdeer Technologies Group announced plans for the potential construction of its first ultra-modern data center in Turkmenistan.

In May, the Group signed a Memorandum with Turkmenistan’s Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Communication, and the Ministry of Finance and Economy.
