Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan Discuss WCO’s CLiKC! E-learning Platform for Customs Officials

An online meeting was held on 27 August 2025, between representatives of the World Customs Organization’s Regional Training Center in Turkmenistan and the Academy of the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The meeting was part of an initiative to develop international cooperation in professional and advanced training, according to the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan.

The event was organized in collaboration with the World Customs Organization’s Regional Office for Capacity Building (ROCB) in Baku.

The main topic of discussion was the use of the WCO’s CLiKC! learning platform, which is designed for distance learning and professional development of customs officers.

CLiKC! (WCO Customs Learning and Knowledge Community) is the primary training and knowledge-sharing portal for the World Customs Organization (WCO). It provides a central hub for training, resources, and collaboration for customs officers and other international trade specialists.

Participants of the meeting emphasized the importance of cooperation between customs training institutions, as it helps create a unified educational space, facilitates the exchange of best practices, and strengthens the human resources potential of customs administrations.

Following the meeting, it was noted that the active use of the CLiKC! platform would contribute to further improving specialist training and deepening cooperation between the Academy of the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the WCO Regional Training Center in Turkmenistan.
