Turkmenistan Airlines Suspends Flights to Dubai and Jeddah

Turkmenistan’s national air carrier announced emergency changes to its international flight schedule. Due to severe restrictions on airspace use in the region and based on a risk assessment, flights to two destinations have been suspended from March 2 to 4, 2026.

The changes affect the following routes:

• Ashgabat – Dubai – Ashgabat

• Ashgabat – Jeddah – Ashgabat

The decision was made amid the escalating military and political situation in the Middle East, which began on February 28. Due to active military operations and retaliatory measures in the airspace of several countries in the region, most international airlines and aviation authorities have decided to close corridors or reroute routes to ensure the safety of civilian aircraft.

Turkmenistan Airlines emphasizes that passenger safety is its absolute priority. For those whose travel plans have been disrupted, the most lenient terms are offered: a full refund of the ticket price without deductions or a free rescheduling of the next available flight once the situation has stabilized.

For refunds or reissues of tickets purchased at the ticket office, passengers should contact the place of purchase. Refunds for e-tickets purchased through the official website or app will be automatically processed to the payer’s bank card. Passengers are advised to closely monitor the airline’s official notifications regarding the resumption of flights.
