The Secretary-General Receives Credentials of the New Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan

His Excellency Mr. Hissein Brahim Taha, Secretary-General of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), received in his office at the OIC General Secretariat Headquarters today, Monday, 16 February 2026, His Excellency Mr. Mohammed Ayazov, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, who presented his credentials as Permanent Representative of his country to the OIC.

His Excellency the Secretary-General welcomed the new Permanent Representative, congratulating him on his appointment and wishing him success. His Excellency praised the relations between the Organization and Turkmenistan, noting Turkmenistan’s policy of permanent neutrality to promote peace, dialogue, and confidence-building at the regional and international levels.

For his part, the Permanent Representative affirmed his country’s keenness to strengthen cooperation with the OIC and its Member States and to intensify its contributions to the Organization’s activities.
