Today, the opening ceremony of the 5th World Nomad Games took place in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan. The National Leader of Turkmenistan and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, participated in the event.
The opening ceremony, held at the Astana Arena stadium, was hosted by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and attended by Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Kyrgyzstan’s President Sadyr Japarov, Tatarstan’s President Rustam Minnikhanov, along with representatives from other countries.
A sports delegation of 29 athletes and 6 coaches from Turkmenistan is representing the country at the World Nomad Games. More than 4,000 athletes from over 100 countries are participating, competing in 21 different sports for 97 medals.
