The Minister of Foreign Affairs met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Turkmenistan

On 12 January 2026, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Turkmenistan Ali Mojtaba Rouzbahani.

During the meeting, the sides discussed issues of bilateral cooperation of mutual interest.

 

They viewed specific topics of regional and international agenda, as well as outlined further steps for implementing activities in 2026 within the framework of previously reached agreements.

The diplomats also touched upon issues related to trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian ties between Turkmenistan and the Islamic Republic of Iran.
