The Foreign Ministers of Turkmenistan and Romania held telephone talks

On November 14, 2025, a telephone conversation was held between Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania Oana Toiu.

During the conversation, the sides discussed the current state and prospects for the development of Turkmen-Romanian relations, emphasizing their mutual interest in expanding cooperation in the political, trade-economic, and humanitarian spheres. The importance of regular contacts between the foreign ministries of the two countries was emphasized.

The constructive cooperation between Turkmenistan and Romania within international and regional structures, primarily the UN and the EU, was noted.

The ministers also reviewed issues related to the preparation for the International Forum on Peace and Trust, which will be held on December 12 of this year in Ashgabat.
