The EU Delegation held an online a brain ring competition

The Delegation of the European Union to Turkmenistan held an online brain ring competition among students of Turkmen universities on 14 September 2021. Four teams from the University for Humanities and Development, Institute of International Relations of the MFA of Turkmenistan, Turkmen State University named after Magtymguly and the World Languages Institute named after D. Azadi took part. The jury panel included Ambassador of Germany H.E. Neithart Höfer-Wissing , Ambassador of France H.E. Ms Isabelle Guisnel and staff members of the EU Delegation to Turkmenistan

“We are always very inspired when we work with you, we consider youth the driving force of the positive change. For this reason, the EU Delegation to Turkmenistan prioritizes raising the knowledge and awareness of the young generation of future professionals of Turkmenistan about the European Union, its missions, cultural heritage, political and economic basis and our work in Turkmenistan,” stated Ms. Renata Wrobel, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. in her welcoming remarks to the participants.

Students were then invited to answer questions in 5 rounds about the establishment of the EU, its member states, economy, history, human rights and gender equality. After the final round the juries summed up the scores. The University for Humanities and Development won the contest, followed by the Institute of International Relations of the MFA of Turkmenistan, Turkmen State University named after Magtymguly and the Institute of the World Languages named after D. Azadi.
