The Astrakhan State University named after V.N. Tatishchev hosted a round table dedicated to the Independence Day of Turkmenistan and the 300th anniversary of the birth of Makhtumkuli Fragi

On October 15, 2024, Astrakhan State University named after V.N. Tatishchev hosted a round table dedicated to the Independence Day of Turkmenistan and the 300th anniversary of the birth of Makhtumkuli Fragi.

The participants discussed the development of cooperation between the two states in the scientific, cultural and humanitarian spheres, the implementation of joint programs and projects. During the meeting, students of Astrakhan State University presented musical performances and also read poems by Makhtumkuli.

The round table was attended by the Consul of Turkmenistan in Astrakhan, Deputy Minister of External Relations of the Astrakhan region, Acting head of the representative Office of the Russian Foreign Ministry in Astrakhan, as well as students from Turkmenistan studying at the Astrakhan State University named after V.N. Tatishchev.

On the part of Turkmenistan, representatives of the Makhtumkuli Turkmen State University, the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the International University of Humanities and Development took part in the online format.

Also on this day, the Consul held a meeting with students from Turkmenistan studying at Astrakhan State University named after V.N. Tatishchev. The meeting with the students was conducted in  the spirit of mentoring and patriotism. The Consul recalled the importance of compliance with the law, and also encouraged students to be active in the cultural and sports life of the university.
