On 15 September 2024, a telephone conversation was held between the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq Fuad Hussein.
During the telephone conversation, the Foreign Ministers exchanged views on the current condition of Turkmen-Iraqi relations in political and diplomatic, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres.
Special attention was paid to the exchange of bilateral visits at high and the highest levels, as well as the continuation of contacts in the bilateral format within the framework of international organizations.
The Ministers stressed the importance and necessity of continuing close cooperation in the regional and international agenda.
