Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will pay an official visit to Turkmenistan on June 24-25. During the visit, he is expected to meet with President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. This was reported by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova at a briefing organized on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).
Lavrov is also planning talks with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. According to the representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, the parties will discuss upcoming political contacts at the highest and high levels, the development of bilateral relations, including cooperation in the trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres, TASS reports.
“There will be an exchange of views on issues of the regional agenda, the situation in the world, as well as interaction between the two countries within the framework of multilateral formats,” Zakharova said.
