On April 18, 2025, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov met with the delegation of Al-Arabiya network headed by chief journalist Riz Khan.
During the meeting, the commitment of Turkmen side in further development of cooperation with global mass media, in particular with the reputable Al-Arabiya channel was emphasized.
In this regard, the interlocutors considered possible forms of partnership, including Al-Arabiya’s trainings for students of journalism faculties at universities of Turkmenistan and advanced training programs for local mass media staff.
The role of leading media outlets, particularly Al-Arabiya, in promoting international cooperation was emphasized.
The delegation of Al-Arabiya confirmed readiness for active cooperation and expressed gratitude for the invitation to participate in the events scheduled to be held in Turkmenistan this year in honor of the 30th anniversary of neutrality of Turkmenistan.
